New Systems of Knowledge (aka NSOK) was formed in Chicago: 2003, as a live collaboration between Ricky Ropesack (the cankles, meatnumber5) and Kyle Kyte (dierubix, 5signs). NSOK is currently operating out of Los Angeles, California, and is part of L.A.'s '5signs' live hip hop crew/ mpc band.

The music of nsok is heavy downtempo, with equal parts dj Shadow and Rage Against the Machine. New Systems Of Knowledge has three albums available: "Echo Park EP" available by private order only. 5Signs "Left Handed Acquisitions" available at a fine record store near you, or at any number of reputable online vinyl dealers, and 5Signs "Remix EP" a limied edition free EP.
